Since 1999 Ski Portillo has been committed to various foundations such as Andes Mágico, Teletón, Nino y Cáncer, and Challenge Aspen, so that people with special abilities can enjoy the mountains. - Intellectual or cognitive disability (Down syndrome or mental deficiency).
- Three track: disabled in one leg.
- Four track: disabled in both legs, but can stand with assistance.
- Bi-ski: disabled in the legs and arms.
- Mono-ski: disabled in the legs, but with strength in the upper part of the body.
- Slider or walker with skis: Other disabilities but who can stand up with walking frames.
** If you need other adaptive classes, please contact us.
Every year we get a group of motivated participants from different regions of the country who come to Portillo to experience snow sports and be enchanted by the mountains as part of their rehabilitation program, an experience that inspires the entire team at Portillo.
Thanks to these programs over 400 children have benefited and more than 100 Ski Portillo staff have been trained to provide the special care these children need.
