Portillo’s Ski School Director Jesús Puente is a superb skier, as well as a skilled leader. No one knows skiing better than Jesús. He is a member of the elite Spanish Demonstration Ski Team and his energy and fun spirit are infectious both on and off the mountain.

Jesús has more than 25 years of teaching experience: 25 seasons in Baqueira Baret; 22 seasons in Chile (10 of which have been spent at Portillo); and 3 seasons in Aspen. At Portillo, Jesús not only sets the direction for the Ski School, but also shares his knowledge and skiing philosophy with the guests.

Under Jesús’s leadership, the Portillo Ski School continues to maintain its world class reputation. He is in charge of putting together the Portillo Ski School team with the best ski/snowboard professionals in the world. Portillo instructors spend their winters at resorts including Aspen, Heavenly, St. Moritz, Vail and Whistler. Not only do Portillo’s instructors love skiing and/or snowboarding, they have made it their career.
