Rates Include:
All rates are per person and based on a Saturday-to-Saturday stay. All packages include:
- Seven days unlimited access to ski lifts.
- Seven nights lodging
- Four meals per day (breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner)
- Complimentary use of heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center, full court gymnasium, aerobics and yoga classes, cinema, game room with rock climbing wall, children’s activities, disco, piano bar, ski check, boot check and timed race courses.
- Day care for children ages 4 to 7 years inclusive is free of charge.
Not included:
- Daycare for children ages 0 to 3 inclusive has an additional cost, tips, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, wine, massages and beauty services, rental equipment, ski school classes, transfers, telephone and laundry or dry cleaning.
Check-In and Check-Out:
- Arriving guests will receive their rooms by 2:00 pm. Check-out is before 11:00 am. If guests check out before 10am, they will receive an 8th day of skiing FREE!
Rooms:
- Double Valley rooms have views of the valley below Portillo with one queen or two twin beds.
- Double Lake rooms have a magnificent view of Laguna del Inca, the Tres Hermanos peaks and the slopes and option of one queen or two twin beds.
- Double Lake with balcony rooms are located on the west end of the hotel on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors have a magnificent view of Laguna del Inca, the Tres Hermanos peaks and the slopes and option of one queen or two twin beds.
- 6th floor doubles have larger bathrooms and windows, one queen or two twin beds and have balconies. All have Lake Inca views.
- Suites are located on the 2nd and 6th floor and have a magnificent view of Laguna del Inca, the Tres Hermanos peaks and the slopes. The suites have a bedroom with a king bed, dressing area, bathroom, separate sitting room, and small balcony.
- Family Apartments with one bathroom have 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with bunks) and accommodate a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 guests. Children and teens from 4-17 years of age staying in Family Apartments pay the children or teen rate. Adults pay the adult Family Apartment rate. Family Apartments (1BA) require a minimum of 2 guests paying the adult rate and a minimum of 4 guests paying the normal listed rates.
- Family Apartments with 2 bathrooms have 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with bunks) and accommodate a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 6 guests. Children and teens from 4-17 years of age staying in Family Apartments pay the children or teen rate. Adults pay the adult Family Apartment rate. Family Apartments (2BA) require a minimum of 2 guests paying the adult rate and a minimum of 5 guests paying the normal listed rates.
- Octagon Lodge rooms have four beds (two bunks) and private bathroom. Octagon Lodge 3 and Octagon Lodge 2 rates are available based on triple or double occupancy. Guests dine in the main dining room and have full access to all hotel activities and facilities.
- Inca Lodge rooms are smaller and have four beds (two bunks). Bathrooms are communal. Inca Lodge 3 and Inca Lodge 2 rates are available based on triple or double occupancy. Guests dine in the hotel’s self-service cafeteria, but otherwise have full access to all hotel facilities and may not be able to attend some hotel organized events. The Inca Lodge is popular with young adults, backpackers and students.
- The Chalet A-1, is for 7 people and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A room with a double bed, a room for 3 people in bunk beds and another room for 2 people in bunk beds. It also has a living-room where can sleep an additional person.
- The Chalet B-1, for 8 people and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A room with a double bed, a room for 4 people in bunk beds and another room for 2 people in bunk beds. It also has a living-room where can sleep an additional person.
- The Chalet B-2, for 8 people and has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A room with a double bed, a room for 2 people in bunk beds. Down on the first floor has a bedroom with twin beds and a room for 2 people in bunk beds. It also has a living-room where can sleep an additional person.
- The Chalet C1 and C4 are 6 persons and have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A room with a double bed, a room for 4 people in bunk beds and a living-room.
- Children 4 – 11 and teens 12 – 17 accompanied by an adult pay children’s or teen prices. Only one extra bed is permitted per room. Parents are responsible for providing proof of age if necessary. Children who at the time of check in are 4 years old must pay the Children 4 – 11 rates.
- Due to size limitations of the rooms the hotel does not recommend adult extra beds in the rooms. Consult Portillo for adult extra bed prices.



- Tours of the hotel and its facilities are given every Saturday night. We recommend these tours to first-time visitors so that they learn of the many things there are to do in Portillo.
- Tap water in Portillo is completely potable.
- Portillo’s rooms do not have television; however television may be watched at certain hours in the cinema or the disco. This is intended to encourage guests to enjoy the many services, entertainment and activities available, and to get to know the other guests.
- Portillo asks that all guests wear nice clothing and shoes to the dining room for the evening meal. Ski clothes are fine at breakfast and lunch. Guests who enjoy getting dressed more elegantly for dinner are welcomed and encouraged to do so.
- Portillo (and all of Chile) uses 220-volt electricity, so guests might need to bring transformers or plug adapters.
- Internet access is available free of charge through wireless service in the rooms. Also, there are computers with internet access available in The Portillo Cyber café for an additional charge.


- We require a deposit of 50% of the total value of your stay when the reservation is confirmed. The remaining balance should be paid 30 days before the date of arrival. Reservations that do not fulfill these requirements will be canceled.
- All cancellations must be in writing.
- If the reservation is canceled before 60 days prior to the reserved date of arrival the deposit will be returned in full less a service charge equivalent to 10% of the value of the deposit.
- If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days but less than 60 days before the reserved date of arrival, the deposit will be returned less 50% of the value of the deposit.
- If the reservation is canceled or postponed less than 30 days prior to the reserved date of arrival, the deposit will not be refunded if the ski area is open.
- Prices in dollars are informative. Bills for consumption at the hotel are presented in Chilean pesos at the official exchange rate. Prices may be subject to change. Our rates do not include the 19% Value Added Tax (known as IVA), however, guests who are not residents of Chile do not pay IVA if they pay their hotel account in dollars or with a dollar credit card.


- It is the responsibility of guests to maintain contact with Portillo in order to keep informed about conditions in the Ski Area including weather, slope conditions, road conditions and resort operation status before commencing their trip to Ski Portillo. Should Portillo be forced to modify the opening or closing date of the ski season, or if roads are closed to the ski area, Portillo is not responsible for costs incurred due to changes in travel arrangements including additional airline fees.
- Guests fly into Santiago International Airport (SCL) (8 hours from Miami). The drive to Portillo takes a little over 2 hours and offers magnificent scenic views. Transportation is not included in the price, but can be arranged by contacting Portillo Tours & Travel; e-mail: ptours@skiportillo.com, Tel: (in Santiago) (56-2) 263-0606, or through other transportation companies in Santiago. We recommend arranging transportation as guests do not need a car while at Portillo.

The road to Portillo is also the International Highway that links Santiago, Chile, with Mendoza, Argentina. The highway is maintained by the Chilean Ministry of Public Works, who is responsible for road maintenance and cleaning following snowstorms or other events. Portillo Ski Resort is not responsible for the condition of the road.
- IMPORTANT: Guests who are unable to reach Portillo while the road is closed will be responsible for their accommodations and other expenses in Santiago or elsewhere. The nights that are not used at Portillo will not be charged and the amount will be credited to their accounts. Guests may choose to transfer the credit to their extra services account (ski lessons, bar bills, etc.), use the credit toward a future reservation or proceed for reimbursement through their respective agency.
- IMPORTANT: Guests who are unable to leave Portillo because the road is closed and must spend an additional night in the resort will be charged the full rate for the first night’s accommodation. If there should be a second night a 50% discount is applied to the normal rate.
PORTILLO OPERATES WITH NATURAL AND MAN-MADE SNOW, WHICH ALLOWS FOR THE CONSISTENT OPERATION OF THE SKI AREA ONCE IT IS OPEN.
