“If we have fun, we learn more”

Francesca Pavillard-Cain.

Skiing and competing has always been apart of my life, thanks to my parents, world-renowned mountain guide Jean Pavillard and fully certified instructor Mary Cain. I made my competition debut while attending the Crested Butte Academy and went on to take several junior tittles including: 3 time winner of the Crested Butte Extremes, Open Class USASA Skier Cross Champion and the Junior World Telemark Champion. In College the opportunities that the colligate ski team provided allowed me to study and compete. After 2 years of rigorous competition I qualified first overall for the Subaru Freeride Series, qualifying me in the top spot for the Swatch Freeride World Tour. After 3 very competitive years and multiple podiums including 3rd place in the first ever FWT Alaska competition, 2nd place in the 2014 Austria event and more I hung up my competition hat for a guide, coach, instructor role. Since my competitive years I have really enjoyed sharing my knowledge and passion with other skiers and competitors.
